Navratana Pseudomonas

Pseudomonas fluorescens

Pseudomonas fluorescens is a beneficial rhizobacteria-based bio-fertilizer and bio-control agent. It colonizes the root zone and protects wide variety of seed and soil borne diseases like bacterial leaf blight of rice, damping off disease, seedling rot of black gram, leaf spot of groundnut etc.  Its producing antibiotics, siderophores  and lytic enzymes which inhibit the growth of disease causing pathogens.

 Benefits:

  • Effective biocontrol against soil-borne fungal diseases (Fusarium, Pythium, Rhizoctonia, Sclerotium) and bacterial pathogens.

  • Enhances seed germination and plant vigour.

  • Improves root growth and nutrient absorption.

Method of application: Seed treatments - Mix 8-10 gram of Pseudomonas in 20-30 ml of water to make a slurry. Use it for 1 kg seed treatment.  Coat seeds uniformly, dry in shade and sow immediately.

Soil application - Mix 2 kg of Pseudomonas in 5-10 liters of water and mix the 50-100kg FYM. Broadcast mixture in one acre field near root zone.

Drenching method-  Mix 1 kg of  Pseudomonas in 200 liters of water. Drench the solution by ring method in the root zone of the plants Pomegranate, Oranges, Vegetables, Cotton etc. Use about 10-15 lit. of the solution for every plant.
